If you’re curious about re:connect but not curious enough to actually play the game, too curious to wait or bored out of your mind, I’m making a really quick summary of the main points of each character’s route below: I picked the shopping bag with “music box” written on it because I love music boxes and inside of it there was *DRUMROLLS*…NO MUSIC BOX!įlowers and a parfum LOL No music box, but you gotta love a good parfum and romantic flowers, right?īesides those, there are cg galleries, a BG music gallery and liner notes as well. There are some pretty cool extras in the game as well, such as Aoba’s tweet log (I circled/squarished/wtv that tweet because it made me laugh, wondering how many people asked him about his underwear LOL) The stars correspond to the number of times you can use your special powers, and the numbers next to the dmmd cast pictures on the left side of the screen are equivalent to the number of cards you have to find (2 Aobas, 1 Ren, 3 Koujakus…) This mini-game is essentially a memory game with some twists: each character has a special power and you’re not matching only pairs, there are characters with 4 or more cards to be matched. Re:connect comes with a mini-game very similar to those of chiral mori (meaning cute and easy lol), the “character matching game”. Pick the colorful item to see the behind the scenes of the good ending and the dark item for the bad one (Clear isn’t the best example since his “colorful” item is white, but you get it lol physics says that white is composed of all the colors of the spectrum anyway, so there you go :D)Īfter you’ve played through Koujaku, Clear, Noiz, Mink, Trip and Virus you’ll unlock Mizuki and Aoba’s childhood story. You begin the game in a pixel scenario where you can pick your destiny: the extras or a character’s storyline.Ĭhoose the chests for extras or the colorful whirlpools for a character’s storyline. If you pick as character’s storyline as your destiny, you’ll enter a screen that looks like this Re:connect works in a different way than the original game: there is not a common route where the decisions you make determine whose path you’re about to enter. In this review I’m talking about the game mechanics, the mini-game, the extras, writing a quick summary of all the routes and a small review =) Re:connect focuses on telling us what happened after the “happily ever after” and “not-so-happily ever after” endings of the first game and besides that, you can also take a peek at Aoba’s childhood, what happened to Mizuki after the events of Dmmd, play a cute mini-game and enjoy some extras.
